1. The Belgian Hayabusa's are all jumping the Neos. They used to jump Velocity. Since i know them well i asked them how they think about the Neos. They all love the Neos. In the beginning 2 of them had sometimes trouble with hard openings but this disappeared. Performance is between Katana and Velocity. A friend of mine jumps Velocity Comp. and a Neos. Velocity for swooping competition and Neos when he is doing other stuff. He also likes the Neos.. Great performance and perfect openings. Then hearing about this great Neos, i got myself a demo (89). Did 50 hop 'n pops and about 10 terminal jumps on it.. From the first jump i knew this was the canopy i want to be jumping forever :-) I never had one bad opening, always on heading an what a performance! I would do wingsuit jumps with this canopy, for which i can't say about my katana.. Just this week i ordered myself a brand new Neos 94 and i can't wait to get it. Believe nothing. No matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
2. There is an on-site bar at the dropzone called The Bombshelter, and they serve a reasonable variety of beers, as far as dropzone bars go. Not sure if there's belgian beer, but there's at least Heineken. If there is one beer belgians dislike.. It would be Heineken! Carlsberg is fine for me! Believe nothing. No matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
3. We invent things just to get free beer! I'm curious! What beer is there in Perris? Believe nothing. No matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
4. My first P3 camp, my first time in Perris, my first time in America, my first time on a jet air plane for traveling, my first time i will be in the plane when it lands.. Believe nothing. 5. Very nice topic! I'm trying to get in the next world team as well! At least thats my goal.. I have 340 Jumps and almost 2h of windtunnel, and doing more windtunnel each month. I have a 4-way team and starting jumping in a 16-way team. Glad to hear there are other -500 jumps skydivers that are trying to be part of the world team as well! I'm attending the P3 Big Way Camp and 100-Way in April/May, attending another Big Way Sequential event in June, then another Big Way Camp in July and hoping to get an invite for the Mens World Record in September and an invite for Project500! If you try hard enough and do your best i know its possible! But lots of money does help.. Who's donating? Believe nothing. 6. Ive heard so much about this event.. Been skydving for over a year now and it would be a shame for me and so many others to not have had the chance to be part of this! YES WE CAN! 9. Woow! I love reading these stories! Skydiving can really change your way of thinking about life
10. Heey, my name is Wesly and i'm from Belgium. You can read my introduction on the forums if you want to know how i got addicted to skydiving :) http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2962129;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread A few short answers: What drew you to the sport in the first place? Wanted to fly like the birds, be free! What kept you in the sport? If you go skydiving, every problem you might have at home, at work,... it just slips out of your mind. It sends your mind free, its all about freedom! Other things are that it is soooo FUN! Just jump all day, have fun in the air, have fun and laughs at the DZ. You get to know new people, even from other country's! At the end off the day most of the jumpers stay and talk, laugh and DRINK with each other :p Has skydiving changed other areas of your life? Yes! Before i did skydiving my life style was all about going out. Here in Belgium you have clubs that open at 11PM and close the next day at 11AM ... In the weekends i was up all night partying! I don't regret it because it was fun, but i've had enough off it! Now my clubbing money goes to skydiving :D Has skydiving affected you personally? Yes a little bit. Ive always lived by the rule "You only live once, and your live could end tomorrow" I laugh everyday, make fun everyday, chase my dreams everyday, do the things i want to do everyday! Skydiving was one of my dreams and it pushed me even more to "LIVE YOUR/MY LIFE" There are many things i want to do, but if i die tomorrow i can say ive lived every single day of my life! Why should someone try skydiving? Because all of things i said above! Its fun and it will change your live in some way! Hope you liked my story Pictures from me: http://www.myspace.com/cabfahrer Believe nothing. 11. Its great here! A lot cheaper then in the netherlands :) We got a lot of dutch jumpers who jump in belgium just because its cheaper and closer. Mostly they come from maastricht, sittard, eindhoven... Believe nothing.
