  1. Why do cowgirls walk Bow-legged? Cowboys eat with their hats on. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  2. While technically correct, this is statistically incorrect. Sanders scored 44 touchdowns in 1988. Bowl games did not count in the NCAA's statistical records until 2002. And when bowl games were included, they were not made retroactive. Thus Sanders' 222 yards rushing and five touchdowns against Wyoming in the Holiday Bowl do not count in his NCAA records of 2,628 yards rushing and 39 TDs. His actual totals for 1988 were 2,850 yards and 44 touchdowns. Ball really needs to score 7 TD's, but who's counting... -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  3. I'm not usually big on cover songs, but listening to PC makes me think of this cover by Nonpoint: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihYwcaxEEUk And this is hands down one of my favorite video's of all time: Pearl Jam - Jeremy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS91knuzoOA&ob=av2e And for comedic purposes a little Foo Fighters and their anti-Westboro Baptist Church message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e5hRLbCaCs -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  4. Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Morgan#Personal_life_and_death Thanks for the cite. I didn't even remember him being in the Apple Dumpling Gang. That was a classic movie...makes me want to watch some old Don Knotts movies now. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  5. I think he also appeared in the original "How The West Was Won." Great actor. Only dark mark on his career was he went to jail several years ago for beating his wife...I think he was in his late 70's or his 80's when that happened. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  6. I don't plan to use it for complaints but I do plan to use it to get info out to my membership and others that may be effected by the changes in our industry. I'm learning that this may be an untapped resource for news/info sharing. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  7. So, for example...if I'm upset with UPS for misdelivering a package, I could tweet: "Way to go #UPS for dropping my stuff off at a house 5 miles away." Now that's just an example, but the point is that not only will my current 10 followers see the "tweet" but also anybody who searches the term "UPS" on twitter, right? -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  8. Can someone explain Twitter to me a little bit? Especially hashtags...how do they work? I need to start using Twitter for work and I'm not looking forward to it. I searched through the archives on here and I dont' really find what I'm looking for. I have a Twitter account that I created mainly to follow a couple of bands and news sites. However, I've developed 10 followers somehow and my PR guys are telling me that I'm missing a big opportunity if I'm not using Twitter for work. Any insight is appreciated. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  9. Look at this scenario: LSU loses to Arkansas, new poll ends up #1 Alabama, #2 Arkansas #3 LSU. Tie breaker goes to Alabama because top ranked BCS team goes to SEC Championship unless #2 ranked SEC team is within 5 rankings of #1 team, then those two teams head to head is tie-breaker, which is Alabama. Alabama plays Georgia in the SEC Championship game and by some grace of God Georgia wins that game. National Championship game is either going to be Arkansas v. LSU or Arkansas v. Va. Tech. Thoughts? -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail

    Laptop Repair

That's only for the part though. If you have to have it installed, that's the part that's makes it not worthwhile. If you can install it or know somebody that can, it's worth it. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail

  12. I've seen a lot of shows this year: Ozzy Osbourne, Slash w/Alter Bridge, Eli Young Band, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Jayme Johnson, Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, Motorhead, El Mariachi, Rise Against, 3OH3!, A Day To Remember, Disturbed, Godsmack, Machine Head, Trivium, Alice in Chains, Kid Rock, Randy Rogers Band and Randy Rogers with Wade Bowen for an acoustic show. I think I'm missing something there... I actually saw Foo Fighters with Biffy Clyro and Motorhead in Tulsa, Little Rock and Memphis with my girlfriend and then I saw Foo Fighters with El Mariachi and Rise Against in Kansas City and St. Louis with my daughter. Between now and the end of the year I may go see Easton Corbin, Staind, Aranda and Violence to Vegas. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail

  14. Man...where to start. After reading all of your stories it reminds of some that I had let go from my ex. When she was pregnant, she tried to beat the hell out of me while I was driving over a minor disagreement. I had to pull over and pull her out of the vehicle. What the hell was I going to do, hit her back? She tried to stab me...more than once. Found out in '05 she was cheating. I was the guy's union rep and had saved his job after he got fired after getting caught getting a BJ while on the job. Oh...the BJ wasn't from his wife, but from his girlfriend. It took me 4 months of suspicion to finally get my evidence. I GPS'd her car and tapped her cell phone with a quirky little spy gadget I found online. Recorded her phone calls and voicemails. All the evidence I needed. If only Oklahoma were an "at-fault" state. In '06, during the divorce, she tried to run over me by driving me down in my own front yard. Left tire marks all throughout my yard. I called police and took endless pics. Police refused to file charges because I wasn't injured, even though she fled the scene. Then she sued me in court for damages to her vehicle...and won. I had to pay $1400 for damages to her car over her recklessness. Judge didn't believe that the sweet little innocent plaintiff could have done something as cruel as try to run me over. It was the same judge that presided over our divorce. He wasn't nice to me during those proceedings either. After it's all said and done with I discovered she had cheated on me four times over a 10 year marriage. I knew about all of them I guess but refused to see it. It went all the way back to our second year of marriage. Two of the guys she cheated with...their wives had called me during their divorces to tell me that my wife was cheating on me. I refused to believe it. Now I'm a little jaded. It's taken me a little time to build trust back up in a woman. I know women aren't bad by nature and I just chose a bad one. The only consolations from it all: I've got two great kids; I got EVERYTHING in the divorce; she tried to stab her new husband too (the last one she cheated on me with). -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  15. Money is what leads me to believe SMU will be in the picture. Tulane brings their Association of American Universities membership because if Missouri leaves the Big 12 we'll be down to three AAU schools. Plus, Tulane expands the conference into Lousiana and brings an entire new recruiting base. I don't know that BYU will want to give up their independent football status. It will also be a lot of travel for current conference teams. That being said, I'd rather it be BYU than Houston. All conference schools are already recruiting in the area and already have a sizeable share of the market down there. BYU will bring new territory for both. -------------------------------------------------- Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
